Peru to Polynesia
Kon-Tiki Taco offers bold and adventurous flavors inspired by Thor Heyerdahl and his daring crew. In pursuit of scientific proof that Polynesia was originally inhabited by ancient South Americans, Thor set sail off the coast of Peru in a wooden raft built using only ancient materials and techniques.
The Lost Parrot
Lorita, the pet parrot commonly known as the seventh crew mate, was the only casualty of the three month long voyage. Two months into the journey she was lost, swept away by a large wave during an ocean storm.
