Something worth knowing early: several of the peninsula's most beautiful spots have real limits. Founders Park, for instance, is available for small stand-up ceremonies in one-hour blocks during the day, but receptions aren't permitted on the park grounds. Some of the other park facilities can't be reserved at all and work on a first-come basis.
In practice that means a lot of PV weddings split the day — ceremony at a park or bluff, reception at a private home or a rentable facility. We're used to that, and we'll set up wherever the eating actually happens rather than assuming it's all one place.
The city's rentable facilities generally accommodate somewhere between 20 and 150 guests. For private homes on the hill, the things to tell us about are driveway access, where the cart can sit, and how far that is from your guests. From 40 to 2,000, with meat, seafood and vegan options and full setup and cleanup included.
